Capability
QR code generation
Personal QR codes, generated automatically. The bridge from print to digital, measurable both ways.

The bridge from paper to data.
Per recipient.
One code for each person instead of one for everybody.
Recognised on the scan.
Pre-filled forms and matching content.
Both directions.
For admission, passes and voucher redemption as well.
One QR code for everyone is a missed opportunity
Most printed QR codes are the same for everybody. They lead to a page, and there everything starts from scratch: who are you? What is your address? What would you like?
And yet you knew all of that when you printed the letter.
Caymland M4 generates QR codes per recipient. Whoever scans is recognised. And you know that exactly this person reacted.
Generated automatically, usable anywhere
QR codes come into being in the system, without anyone opening a generator and copying images into a document. You place a placeholder where you want it, and when the document is produced the individual code stands there.
Usable in:
- Letters and invoices
- Passes, badges and attendee cards
- Tickets and vouchers
- Brochures, inserts and packaging
- Posters and stands, there with campaign codes rather than personal ones
- Emails and web pages, where a code is to be pulled onto a phone
Alongside QR codes, classic barcodes are available too, for cases where a scanner is in use.
Designed, not merely functional
Size, margin, colour and error tolerance are adjustable, so the code fits your layout and still works reliably, even on a coloured background or at a small print size. The output is available in the formats print and web each need.
What happens when it is scanned
This is the part that turns a little picture into a tool.
- The person is recognised. The destination page knows who scanned.
- Content adapts. Forms are pre-filled, offers match the contract, the language is right.
- The scan is logged. In the contact's chronology, with a timestamp.
- A sequence can start. Thank-you email, task for the account owner, points awarded, a move into a different run.
That makes the printed channel measurable. You see not only that 12 per cent reacted, but which 12 per cent.
The other direction too
QR codes and barcodes are equally suited to admission and identification on site: attendee passes, access control, voucher redemption, handing out materials. The scan confirms and logs, without comparing lists on paper.
What this looks like day to day
The contract renewal. The letter carries a personal code. One scan leads to the pre-filled renewal form. Two clicks instead of a callback.
The event. Attendee passes are produced with a personal code. At the door they are scanned, attendance is logged, and the follow-up email goes only to those who were really there.
The insert. A brochure goes with the delivery, carrying a personal code. Whoever scans shows interest, and sales sees it the same day.
Questions & answers
Frequently asked questions
Do we have to generate the codes ourselves?
No. You place a placeholder, and the system produces the individual code as it outputs the document.
Does it work without a known person?
Yes. For posters and general materials, campaign codes are used, which make the origin measurable even though no person is.
Can we adjust the appearance?
Size, margin, colours and error tolerance are adjustable.
Are scans attributed to the contact?
For personal codes, yes, with a timestamp, in the chronology.
Can we scan codes as well as print them?
Yes, for access control or voucher redemption, for example.
