Social media where your customers already are

Social media is run separately from everything else almost everywhere. A planning tool for the posts, the ads manager for the advertising, the CRM for the customers. Three worlds that know nothing of each other.

That costs more than time. It costs effect: your ads reach people who have long been customers. Your audiences are guessed rather than known. And nobody can say whether a post ever led to an order.

Caymland M4 brings the two together. Editorial planning, publishing and paid reach run in the system that knows your customers.

The editorial calendar

Your entire social media planning on one surface: day, week, month or as a list.

  • Move posts by dragging when a date changes. Published posts are locked, so nothing slips by accident.
  • See at a glance which post is scheduled on which channel. Every entry shows platform, time and account.
  • Status in colour: draft, scheduled, publishing, published, partially published, failed. You see immediately where something is stuck.
  • Click an empty slot and create a post for that time straight away.
  • Click a post and see how it performed on each channel.

Instead of a spreadsheet maintained alongside reality, the plan is the system.

The editor

A post is written in one window, with a preview beside it.

  • Choose channels: Facebook, Instagram or both at once, with the same or different content.
  • Choose the format: post, reel, story or a carousel of several images, videos included. You set the right format per network.
  • Own text per account, when two accounts should not say the same thing. Counters for characters, words, hashtags and links, and before scheduling a check that images and videos meet the network's rules.
  • Serve several accounts if you look after various pages or locations.
  • Upload images or reference them by address.
  • Live preview in phone format: you see how the post actually looks to the reader before you approve it.
  • Publish now or schedule, to the minute.
  • Try again when a publication has failed, without entering everything anew.

Answer comments without leaving the system

Whoever publishes gets replies. In Caymland M4 they land in one inbox instead of three apps:

  • Reply, hide, delete or mark as done, straight from Caymland M4. Every reply goes to the network immediately.
  • The context is right there: first the post the comment refers to, below it the thread with your replies.
  • New comments announce themselves, bundled per account.
  • Everything the page has published is covered, not only posts from Caymland M4.
  • Report hides a comment and takes you straight to the spot in the network.

With AI, if you want it

Two assistants can be switched on and off again at any time:

Text. Produce a post from an idea, or improve an existing draft. In your tone, not in advertising language.

Image description. An uploaded photo is described, as a starting point for the text and as a basis for accessibility.

Plan in conversation. Tell the AI assistant the topic, accounts and time, for example "Schedule a post about our autumn offer for next Tuesday at 9 am". It writes its own text for every account and puts each post in front of you as a preview for approval.

All of these are suggestions. What gets published is decided by a person.

Audiences from your own data

This is where it pays off that social media and CRM are the same system.

You hand a segment from Caymland M4 to Meta and receive an audience there that you can use in ads. Not "women between 30 and 45 interested in travel", but your actual customers.

That makes possible the things guessed audiences fail at:

  • Exclude existing customers, so your budget is not spent on people who have already bought.
  • Reach the inactive who can no longer be reached by email.
  • Find similar people, starting from your best customers.
  • Stay current automatically: when segment membership changes, the audience follows. A customer who has just bought disappears from new-customer advertising without anyone having to think of it.
  • Large segments too: they are handed over in parts, so hundreds of thousands of contacts go through. Renamed segments stay linked to their audience, and if a handover fails, the person who created the segment is told.

Consent is not a footnote here

Handing customer data to an advertising platform is the point at which many projects rightly stall. The check is therefore built in and cannot be switched off:

  • Only contacts without a block are passed on. Anyone unsubscribed, blocked or on the suppression list is not uploaded at all. On request, additionally tied to a consent field of your own.
  • Nothing is transmitted in the clear. The attributes are encrypted before being handed over, as the platform's standard requires.
  • Removal always takes effect. If somebody withdraws consent, they are removed from the audience regardless of any other condition. Removal is the one operation not tied to a permission, and that is deliberate.
  • You see how many were passed on, and are warned when an audience is too small to be used.

From post to advertisement

A post is doing well. In most organisations the journey into the ads manager now begins.

In Caymland M4 it is one line in the list: promote. The published post becomes an advertisement, with your audience, your budget and your objective.

  • Include and exclude through your own segments.
  • Set budget and duration.
  • In four steps: goal and budget, audience, ad, review and launch. As the goal you choose traffic, awareness, engagement, leads or sales.
  • Daily or lifetime budget, plus countries and age limits, and you see how many contacts are in the chosen segments.
  • A checklist tells you what is still missing before launch, instead of the ad being rejected later.
  • The performance figures sit right next to the ad and in the list.
  • Created paused. Nothing starts spending money unattended. You check, then release.
  • Status in view: draft, audience not ready, being created, paused, active, failed.

Google Business Profile

For everyone whose customers start on Google: the locations of your Business Profile sit on the same calendar as Facebook and Instagram.

  • Publish posts to your locations, planned and scheduled like any other post, for one location or several at once.
  • Reviews come into the system. You read what customers write about a location without switching tools.
  • Location figures are collected, so a location's effect sits next to the numbers of your posts and ads.

For hotels, destinations, chains and hospitality this is often the channel with the shortest distance between a search and a visit.

And you see what it achieved

The advertising figures are fetched back regularly and sit next to your own numbers. Not in a separate tool, but where your campaigns, contacts and revenue are evaluated too.

That finally answers the question a social media report otherwise leaves open: not how many people were reached, but whether any of them became customers.

Part of your automation

Social media is not a side stage but a component of your processes. From within a campaign, contacts can be added to an advertising audience. Someone who runs through a sequence without responding can additionally be approached through social media. And whoever buys drops out again automatically.

Securely connected

The connection to your Facebook pages and Instagram accounts is established through Meta's official sign-in procedure. Linked Instagram accounts are detected automatically. Access is renewed in the background so that publishing does not fail on an expired token, and it can be withdrawn at any time.

What this looks like day to day

The weekly plan. On Monday morning the posts for the coming fortnight are laid out in the calendar, checked in preview and scheduled. After that it happens by itself.

The post that takes off. A post gets unusual traction. It is promoted straight from the list, with an audience that excludes existing customers.

Winning people back. Customers who no longer respond to email are handed over as an audience and approached through social media. Whoever buys again disappears from the advertising automatically.

The event. A registration campaign runs across landing page, email and social media in parallel, with one shared evaluation instead of three separate reports.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

01

Which platforms are supported?

Facebook pages and Instagram through Meta's official API, plus the locations of your Google Business Profile. We keep reviewing further networks.

02

Do we need an ad account?

Not for planning and publishing posts. For audiences and advertisements you need an ad account with Meta and must accept the terms for custom audiences. We support the setup.

03

Is handing over customer data compliant with data protection law?

Only contacts without a block are passed on, the attributes are encrypted before transmission, and removals always take effect. The legal assessment in your particular case belongs to your setup, and we support you with it.

04

Can we manage several pages and accounts?

Yes, with different content per channel if you wish.

05

What happens if a publication fails?

The post is marked "failed" or "partially published", and you can trigger it again without entering everything anew.

06

Do we have to use the AI?

No. Both assistants can be switched on and off; when off, their buttons disappear as well.

07

Does this replace our existing social media tool?

For planning, publishing, audiences and advertising on Meta, in many cases yes. The real advantage lies elsewhere though: the connection to your customer data is something a separate tool cannot provide.

08

Which formats can we publish?

Posts, reels, stories and carousels with up to ten images, plus videos. You set the format per network, and before scheduling Caymland M4 checks that the media meet the rules.

09

Can we answer comments in Caymland M4?

Yes. Comments on your posts land in one inbox. You reply, hide, delete or mark them as done, and every reply goes straight to the network.

10

Can we see Google reviews in Caymland M4?

Yes. The reviews of your locations are collected and held in the system, together with the figures for that location. You do not have to switch to a second tool for them.

11

Can we use ad clicks for our segments?

Yes. A click on an ad appears in the contact history, and segments can filter on it by network and by period. That gives you an audience of everyone who arrived through a given network last month, for example.
