How a marketing project at Green became a partnership of equals
Green started out with Caymland M4 in 2022 to put B2B and B2C marketing on a shared data foundation. The collaboration built trust, and that trust led to a second mandate: today Caymland also looks after the website of Switzerland's leading data centre provider.
Green and Caymland: how a project became a partnership Green is Switzerland's leading data centre provider. From private households and SMEs through to large enterprises and hyperscalers, we serve an exceptionally broad range of customers across two brands.
A task no standard setup solves Our customers have little in common. A household with a fibre connection needs different content from a company buying colocation, and both expect to be addressed in their own language. So we wanted marketing that does justice to that range, not newsletters that look the same for everyone.
The ERP as the foundation We introduced Caymland M4 in 2022. The real work was not in sending but in the connection to our ERP: our customer data, subscriptions and orders are complex, spread across two brands and several languages. Caymland did not talk that complexity away but mapped it cleanly. Since then we no longer plan campaigns on gut feeling but on the real customer picture.
Two worlds, one platform In B2C we address households specifically along their products and contracts, for example when a connection date for the fibre rollout is confirmed or moves. In B2B we run multi-stage campaigns with an entirely different tone and different content. Both run on the same platform, in German, French and English.
From marketing to the website After a short time our confidence was such that we entrusted our website to Caymland as well. Our site is anything but a business card: an availability checker, an order wizard, product comparisons and a helpdesk all interlock and are continually developed further. For our anniversary, "30 Years of Green", this grew into a multilingual campaign with gamification connected directly to our marketing platform.
One partner instead of two suppliers Today the marketing platform and the website are in the same hands. We no longer have to mediate between suppliers; we discuss a goal and get an implementation.
Marietta Hersche, Chief Marketing Officer at Green, on working with Caymland:
“Today I regard Caymland as a permanent part of my team. What convinces us is the combination of genuine expertise and goodwill: we get well-founded answers, including on topics that go far beyond the platform, and we get them without fuss. Caymland is the sparring partner we think ideas through with before they become a project.”

Daniel Gehrig, Marketing Manager at Green, on working with Caymland:
“Three things matter to me: expertise, close collaboration and delivery that holds up. Caymland thinks along with our requirements instead of merely working through them, and then delivers quickly without precision suffering. That is exactly what you need when campaigns and the website feed directly into the business.”

CONCLUSION
Caymland has long since stopped being an external supplier for us and is now a permanent part of our team.
